Hope you all had a great summer! Everyone is back to work and school and its time to get back together to drink some wine! We are trying to finalize a couple of open dates for the next couple months, if you are interested in hosting a wine club meeting, email us at: wine01.club@gmail.com so we can get the information out to everyone.
Delaware Today approached us for an upcoming article they are doing on wine clubs in the area, and thanks to John over at Vino 100, our club will be mentioned in the article!! (Gotta love free press) This got us thinking that if our group gets much larger, maybe we should try doing something on a larger scale in addition to our intimate wine tastings at member's homes.
Would anyone be interested in a formal education on little known wines? There would probably be a fee involved, but our club could partner with area wine shops, wine distributors, restaurants and sommeliers to do some fun and informative tastings in a classroom-style format every other month. The wine partner could offer discounts on the wines tasted that evening and they get some free press from our website and word of mouth. From what the DE Today writer said, there aren't too many active wine clubs around, so this could put us on the map, per se, and drive traffic to our local wine partners' businesses.

Their focus will be on German white wines and they ask that you please bring a food item that will go with your wine.
